Microsoft created a program called rsm.exe in Windows 2000/XP. As RSM existed before this program we cannot change its name. The MS program is located in the winnt\system32 or windows\system32 folder. This folder must be after the rsm folder in the system path.  Failure to do this will result in accessing the wrong rsm.exe program. You can download out which program to find which RSM.exe you are running. Please see our installation documentation.

Product Updates

Reference the version history.

You may update your RSM software through a product maintenance update. RSM versions have a Major.Minor numbering scheme. The major number indicates new product features and the minor versions represent product maintenance updates. If your RSM software license file is for version 6.xx you may use any version of RSM that is below the next major version (7.00).

RSM 7.xx - Major product feature update, requires a product license update purchase unless your licensed major version is 7 or greater or you have a software maintenance date that is after the release date of the product update.

RSM 7.xx - Minor product maintenance update, free to use for licensed major version 7
