Download a free, fully functional evaluation copy of RSM. The only restrictions on the evaluation copy is that the evaluation version only supports metrics for up to 20 source files. This number of files is generally sufficient for student projects and evaluation purposes.

If you are a student researcher and require a timed license, these are freely available for the length of your project. Please email from your *.edu email address specifying your contact information, project name and advisor's contact information.

RSM Product Updates

The current version number of Resource Standard Metrics is: 7.75
where 7. is the Major version and .75 is the minor version number.

Major version number changes represent new features added to RSM and require a paid product update. For example: Your RSM license number is 6.94. You would need to purchase the RSM product update relative to your operating system and number of users to operate RSM version 7.75

Download the latest RSM Product Update, reference the version history.
If you have version 6.xx then your product update is version 7.xx
At this time there is no RSM 8.0 available.

Minor version number changes represent a maintenance release that includes product bug fixes. These are free to download and use for your current licensed software. For example: Your RSM license is 7.64, you can freely download and use version 7.75.

If you currently have version 7.xx then you can download and use RSM 7.70+ for free product fixes.

 Resource Standard Metrics - Windows 9x/2000/NT/XP/Vista  

1. Find your rsm intallation, c:\Program Files\MSquared\M2 RSM
2. Back up your *.cfg and *.lic files
3. Download the update
4. Follow the Windows Install.
5. Run RSM once to upgrade your rsm configuration file

Resource Standard Metrics - Linux Precompiled Update

1. Find your rsm intallation, /usr/bin/rsm
2. Back up your *.cfg and *.lic files
3. Download the update
4. Unarchive and copy over your rsm distribution
5. Run RSM once to update update your configuration file

Resource Standard Metrics - Universal UNIX

1. Find your rsm intallation, /usr/bin/rsm
2. Back up your *.cfg and *.lic files
3. Download the update
4. Unarchive and copy over your rsm distribution
5. Email Support to optain the latest source code
6. Recompile RSM - See documentation
7. Replace the rsm executable with your compiled version
8. Run RSM once to update update your configuration file
