Microsoft created a program called rsm.exe in Windows 2000/XP. As RSM existed before this program we cannot change its name. The MS program is located in the winnt\system32 or windows\system32 folder. This folder must be after the rsm folder in the system path. Failure to do this will result in accessing the wrong rsm.exe program. You can download out which program to find which RSM.exe you are running. Please see our installation documentation.

If you have valid software maintenance, you may update to the current version of the following software products. Your software maintenance date is show on every RSM report header.
Resource Standard Metrics - Windows 9x/2000/NT/XP/Vista
- Find your rsm intallation, c:\Program Files\MSquared\M2 RSM
- Back up your *.cfg and *.lic files
- Download the update
- Follow the Windows Install.
- Run RSM once to upgrade your rsm configuration file
Resource Standard Metrics - Linux Precompiled Update
- Find your rsm intallation, /usr/bin/rsm
- Back up your *.cfg and *.lic files
- Download the update
- Unarchive and copy over your rsm distribution
- Run RSM once to update update your configuration file
Resource Standard Metrics - Universal UNIX
- Find your rsm intallation, /usr/bin/rsm
- Back up your *.cfg and *.lic files
- Download the update
- Unarchive and copy over your rsm distribution
- Email Support to optain the latest source code
- Recompile RSM - See documentation
- Replace the rsm executable with your compiled version
- Run RSM once to update update your configuration file
